Happy Hellos!

My name is Anna and I'm a Pole living recently in Airdrie (near Calgary in Canada), hopeless in love with paper. Usually sitting in my studio between 8pm and midnight, if my energy lasts that long after another day with a toddler Jakob and a baby Lisa. I love to share my crafts with you, please be my guest!

Parenting lesson

Hello,

this layout is about my daughter (2.5), who taught me a parenting lesson. I had to figure it out how to deal with her strong will ("my way or no way"): patience! She taught me patience and how to balanced my and her emotions. To find the answer how to  deal with this little person, I read some excellent books like "Happy Kids and patient Parents" or "Carry On, Warrior". My daughter changed me and I have to than her for that!

The sketch is based on Once upon a sketch challenge: we are supposed to use in the journalling: Theme-"Lesson learnt..."

Thanks in advance for your sweet comments!

  2. Oh I can so relate to this journalling. My kids were so different and you have to respond to them differently and I agree it can be very challenging at times. Some people bully them into conforming and some people learn to deal with them differently. So I say big ups to you on rising and accepting the challenge. You will both be better for it. :) I love this layout. The boldness of the orange with the black and that photo all reinforces her strength of character :D
Thanks so much for playing along with us at OUAS this month.

  3. What a wonderful layout for this oh so charming photo!! Yes, it can be such a battle of the wills at this age, but as you know so many blessings as well. I adore seeing your journaling in your own hand as part of the page design!! I hope you'll have the chance to post your fab LO over on the OUAS FB page!! There's an extra chance for a prize when you share with us there. Thanks for joining us for the January Once Upon A…Sketch Challenge! ~ Blessings, Tracey

  5. Oh I absolutely adore this layout! The colours are perfect and I love your journaling. Remember how I told you when I started being more patient with Karla, listening to her and reasoning with her? I guess that's where you are now. It's a long and challenging road, but very rewarding. One day when she's older and looks up to her as her mother and best friend, she'll thank you for the hard work you're putting in now. Keep it up! You're doing great!
