I REALLY like photo inspiration challenges like this from Caardvarks, for example:

When I saw it, I knew exactly which paper I will use: Basic Grey. Well, it was not easy though, because the pastel colors are kind of my weakness. I usually like heavy, darker papers: old olive, brown, dark red. But it's called challenge, right! Then-let's craft!
I used the sketch from JUG #23 and below you can see my take of those challenges.

For me the style is almost too sweet, but it has to be, because the card is for a sweet person =).......
Her name is Clio and she is one of the 3 girls, I took care of, when I was Au-pair 13 years ago...O my Gosh..... I think, I calculated wrong....No.... that's true, 13 years ago! She is turning 15 in few days! When I came to the Au-pair family, Clio was 1,5 y.o. and we have a lot of fun together. I hope to see her soon again!
I remember as a good-bye gift she drew for me a picture with my face. On the face there were a lot of dots. I asked her what she meant with that. She said they are my pimples. And indeed: I suffered from acne many years. Children are so honest, right?

A propos children: Jakob was playing yesterday with a kitchen plastic bowl for almost an hour, giggling including. I recorded a lot of short movies. I can't believe, how kids are interested in such a simple things instead of fancy toys.  The best toys are the simplest!

My inspiration is gone!/Weno wroc!

lately I'm suffering from a lack of inspiration..... Probably I'm so busy in my thoughts to go back to work after my maternity leave that there is no space in my head to think about crafting.... Yesterday I spend 2 hours for chosing papers to make a card and there was no result.... Everything was wrong....

This time I show you a card, I have made before my inspirational down. The card is simple, but the picture of the rose is so rich, I did not want add more embellishments. My mom always says about cards in this style: "modest elegance".  The words: Carte Postale have also their story: the stamp is a favorite of my mom. When we made together cards (during her stay in Canada) and we didn't know what to put on the card, this 2 words always work for us!
This card is already on the way to Poland to my mom after she broke her leg. She loves roses and vintage look, but I wanted still keep this card bright and optimistic. By the way: we sent my mom 9 roses after she came back from hospital. I love internet for that, you just can do stuff like that without involving half of the family.

I wouldn't be Anna W. if I wouldn't play some challenges. This time combination of Simon Says Stamp challenge-Vintage with Flowers & Color challenge: Maroon Lemon Pink from BasicGrey challenges & Inspirational Card Sketches.

 

Now I have to go and prepare for the first day at work!

ostatnio cierpie na chroniczny brak weny..... najprawdopodobniej jest to spowodowane tym, ze mam zajeta glowe myslami powrotu do pracvy po urlopie macierzynskim..... Wczoraj spedzilam 2 godziny siedzac i wybierajac papier do zrobienia kartki i niestety nie bylo zadnego wyniku.... Wszystko poprostu nie pasowalo....

Tym razem zobaczycie kartke, ktora przygotowalam zanim jeszcze mnie dopadl moj "dol inspiracyjny". Ta kartka jest prosta, ale obrazek rozy jest tak bogaty, ze nie chcialam dodawac za duzo dekoracji. Moja mama zawsze nazywa kartki w takim stylu "skromna elegancja".  Stempel Carte Postale jest ulubionym Eli i ma tez swoja historie:  gdy robilysmy razem kartki (w czasie jej pobytu w Kanadzie) i nie wiedzialysmy jaki napis dac na kartke, te 2 slowa spelnialy swoje zadanie! Bez Carte Postale ani rusz!
Ta kartka jest juz w drodze do Polski do mojej Mamy po jej zlamamniu nogi. Ona uwielbia roze i wintazowy styl, ale ja staralam sie stworzyc kartke jasna i optymistyczna. Apropos roz: Ela dostala od nas 9 roz po powrocie ze szpitala. Kocham za to internet, ze cos takiego jest mozliwe bez zawracania glowy polowie rodziny.


Nie bylabym Anna W. gdybym nie zagrala w jakis wyzwaniach. Tym razem kombinacja Simon Says Stamp challenge-Vintage z kwiatami & Color challenge: Maroon Lemon Pink z BasicGrey challenges & Inspirational Card Sketches.

Caardvarks's challenge-Wedding card/Slubne wyzwanie z Caardvarks

Hello,

Valentine's day is coming! Therefore this time something romantic: a wedding card.
Other inspiration for this card: After a long while I contacted a good friend through Skype, who is getting married in May. I had to know all the details-I'm sooooo happy for her! I also have to mention that it will be a mixed marriage: Polish-Italian-very nice combination, don't you think? I would love to be able to make to her wedding, but it's not possible. My friend Magda and one more friend Karolina came to my female bachelor party (I don't like to use the expression "hen night") from Warsaw to Slupsk (6 hours by train) and stayed for several hours to celebrate with us. I was touched, how much effort they made it to be there!
There is also another wedding coming in April! Also mixed marriage: dutch-iranian!
We got married in April too (almost 5 years ago!!!!) I remember, it was 8 degrees Celsius and we had a photo shooting outside. I was freezing! But on the pictures you can not see the red noses-a good picture editing program was used =)
By happy coincidence Caardvarks's  challenge this time is to create .... a wedding card! The winning entry will be published in Scrapbook Trends CARDS Magazine's July 2010 issue. Very tempting, isn't it???

A usual some news about Jakob: he got his first tooth!!! That explains a lot: his appetite and mood lately weren't that great!

Walentykowe swieto juz niedlugo! Dlatego tez tym razem przygotowalam cosik romatycznego: slubna kartke. Oprocz tego jeszcze jedna inspiracja: Po dlugim czasie skontaktowalam sie przez Skypa z dobra kolezanka, o ktorej doszly mnie sluchy, ze wychodzi za maz w maju. Musialam oczywiscie dowiedziec sie wszystkich szczegol-ciesze sie jej szczesciem! Musze takze dodac, iz bedzie to mieszane malzenstwo: polskie-wloskie-bardzo ladna kombinacja, nieprawdaz? Tak bardzo chcialabym byc na jej slubie (zaproszenie jest w drodze do mnie), ale niestety nie da rady. Moja wyzej wymieniona kolazanka Magda i jeszcze jedna kolaeznka Karolina byly na moim wieczorze panienskim , przyjechaly z Warszawy do Slupska (6 godz. pociagiem) zostaly pare godzin zeby z nami swietowac. Bylam wzruszona, jaka droge pokonaly, aby byc ze mna w ten dzien.
Mamy jeszcze jeden slub w zanadrzu, w kwietniu, tym razem mieszanka holendersko-iranska.
Nasz slub byl takze w kwietniu (prawie 5 lat temu!!!!) Pamietam, ze bylo 8 stopni Celsiusa i mielismy sesje zdjeciowa na powietrzu. Bardzo wtedy zmarzlam! Na zdjeciach nie widac czerwonych nosow-ktos sie naprawde zna na edytowaniu zdjec.
Szczesliwy przypadek chcial, ze Caardvarks's  oglosil wyzwanie na... slubna kartke! Zwycieska kartka bedzie opublikowana w czerwcowym wydaniu Scrapbook Trends CARDS Magazine. Kuszace wyzwanie, nie sadzicie???

Jak zawsze na koniec pare nowinek o Kubusiu: pojawil sie pierwszy zabek!!! To wyjasnia wszystko: Kubus nie mial ostatnio za dobrego apetytu i humoru.
