Place to be...-ScrapFriends Sketch Challenge #22

...and my hubby on his trip on Cormorant Island, BC in Canada.

This layout is meant for the challenge at the ScrapFriends Sketch Challenge #22. I try to use my stamps on the layouts. I have a quite big collection and I think, it's interesting to incorporate them in the layout. Who said, that stamps are only for cardmakers, hihihi....

Runway Inspired Challenge #53

Hello,

a while ago I played with the Runway Inspired Challenge and won! Today I am going to try my luck again, because the dress in this week's challenge just stroked me!

So there I am with 2 cards:

1) Figs: The dress on the picture has totally the colors of the figs and the pattern is oriental as figs (Moroccan? Please correct me if I am wrong):

2) A quick but effective card: I was inspired definitely by the oriental colors and "complicated" pattern on the dress. The half pearls should give the oriental touch (and they are also my favorite elements by card making):

A card challenge.... after a while

Hello, I don't remember when I was entering a card for a challenge the last time. Somehow I am "specializing" lately in layouts.... So I am following a challenge called CASE study and I am amazed about  unique and fantastic ideas the ladies over there have. Pure inspiration! So let's play this week with them:

Maybe some of you, who follow my blog,  notice lately my obsession with washi tape? Love it, just love it!

Thanks for your comments, always appreciated!

Yummy colors and special people

Happy hellos,

a special layout today of gorgeous twins: Kate and Rose, daughters of our dear friends: Genevieve and Hugh. I used the color palette of my favorite challenge: Scrapfriends. I had the puzzle pieces for a long time on my desk and decided to play with them on this layout. I think, it's a unique addition to the embellishments. Experimenting...that's what I like mostly about the scrapbooking, hahaha!

Thanks for your visit and sweetness left behind,
Anna

Parenting lesson

Hello,

this layout is about my daughter (2.5), who taught me a parenting lesson. I had to figure it out how to deal with her strong will ("my way or no way"): patience! She taught me patience and how to balanced my and her emotions. To find the answer how to  deal with this little person, I read some excellent books like "Happy Kids and patient Parents" or "Carry On, Warrior". My daughter changed me and I have to than her for that!

The sketch is based on Once upon a sketch challenge: we are supposed to use in the journalling: Theme-"Lesson learnt..."

Thanks in advance for your sweet comments!
